Forums are cool places and i participate in a few, ive often wondered about them so i decided to buy myself one to play about with. www.forum44.com sounded catchy so i registered the name and purchused vbulletin to go on it, at the moment im still playing about with the site so its not open yet.

I have no idea what im going to get people talking about on it yet, as i said its mainly there for me to learn with. Right now im trying to customize it and also looking into some sort of mod-rewrite to change all the page names into something more memorable.

Im still waiting and watching the skys but nothings happened yet.

Carrying on from my last posts...
4 posts ago i was talking about validating some pages, well ive finally got all the ones i was talking about 100% validated now, i had to add a few lines of css to my style sheet and remove all the border colors from tables and replace them with class="a" or something similar.

Latest site updates...
Ive totally re-structured my UK tooth whitening site because it had a messy folder structure and starting again was the easiest thing to do, ive lost a lot of pages with page rank but they had no inbound links to them anyway so it shouldnt be to bad. At least i have a easier to navigate link directory now so i can start to add links, ive also decided to add a few articles written by other people about the same subject to my site. The articles are free to copy aslong as you give full credit to the author with a link to their site.

pebble

I was watching tv yesterday and an advert came on for the new motorola pebble phone, its called that because of its shape and syle, its smooth and shaped like a pebble. Although it is pronounced like the word pebble its actual name is the pebl.
So anyway i did some searching and managed to find a shop selling it on all the uk networks and ive now added it to my website along with some details and a picture.

cleaning and sorting

Well i finally managed to clear up all the errors on one of my pages from last time using CSS, but ive allready wrote about that in my other blog at another valid page.htm

Tomorrow is going to be a busy day for me, i have to sort out my directory again and go up town to find out whats going on with some of my bank accounts, i opened a new account a few months back and they forgot to put a few things on i need.

Still half and half on buying a link checker program because at the moment im just using excel files and i can hold all the info i want on them, but a link checker might be a good idea for quick checks. Think i'll have a look around later and see whats available.

checking a few pages

Well christmas is over and its time to start thinking about my websites again, i thought id have a little play about tonight just to get myself back in the mood. A while ago when i first started to build webpages i learnt about the HTML validation checks you can do at w3.org so today i've been validating some of my pages today and managed to reduce the amount of errors on my pages

shopping/phones.htm 16 errors errors reduced to 3
shopping/electrical.htm 17 errors errors reduced to 5
fun/surveys.htm 18 errors errors reduced to 2
broadband.htm 29 errors errors reduced to 5
